CALL YOUR MOTHER: A NEW CONVERSATION ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE LANDS AT CADWORKS

If you have been to Cadworks lately, you could not have missed the large, green telephone box that has landed in the “conservation corner” of our ground floor reception area.

Call Your Mother is an installation by Force of Nature that was created for COP26 and proved remarkably popular during the climate conference. The installation enables people to open up about their feelings on the climate crisis and connect with others who feel the same way.

Force of Nature is a social enterprise that recognises the anxiety felt particularly by today’s youth around the climate crisis, and helps turn this eco-anxiety into action by working with young people and leaders to create lasting change and drive intergenerational solutions.

Call Your Mother – mother being Mother Earth – is a space where you can record a message to the human race, those in power, and fellow changemakers.

We invite you to step into the telephone box and create messages about you hopes, despair, anger, or commitment to change in the face of the climate emergency.

Whether you are a tenant in our building or just passing by, the telephone box in our foyer acts as the starting point for recording these conversations, and we would love you to try it out!

Cadworks - call your mother

All text, audio, and video submitted for Call Your Mother will join the broader global tapestry of people driving sustainability beyond the legacy of COP26.

Force of Nature’s installation at Cadworks underlines our determination to revolutionise the face of workspaces and create sea change in how we build, operate, and think about our built environment . Cadworks has set new benchmarks for environmental standards in Glasgow so what better place to come and join the climate conversation?

We hope to see you in the green box soon! Read more about Call Your Mother at www.callyourmother.earth
